2018: The Year in Racing
It was a huge year for horse racing across Australia in 2018, and Macquarie Sports Radio’s resident Racing Expert Tim Guille joined Billy and Mieke to recap the biggest moments.
Cross Counter won the Melbourne Cup over Marmelo and Prince of Arran, and Redzel got the Everest with Kerrin McEvoy on the back of both.
Autumn Sun won three Group Ones, including the Caufield Guineas.
The best racehorse in WA, Arcadia Queen picked up the Kingstown Town Classic.
The year was stolen though by a mare named Winx, as she cemented her place in the history books taking out her fourth Cox Plate.
