A ‘Field of Women’ for Breast Cancer

The Breast Cancer Network Australia are holding their fifth “Field of Women” on the 12th of August prior to the Melbourne vs Sydney game at the MCG.

In 2018, it is estimated that 18,235 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Breast Cancer Network Australia hope to bring together 18,235 people, representing those diagnosed to form their fifth Pink Lady on the ground of the MCG.

BCNA Ambassador and Melbourne Demons Co-Captain Nathan Jones spoke with Mark Allen and David Schwarz about the relationship that the Melbourne Football Club has with the Breast Cancer Network.

“What a relationship it’s been. It’s been there forever and a day… for as long as I’ve been at the footy club,” Jones said. “The Field of Women is a very, very special event.”

“We encourage as many people as possible to get along and fill the pink lady on the ground.”
