“A good year for scandals”: A chat with the hilarious Titus O’Reily
Titus O’Reily has chronicled scandal in Australian sport in a new book.
And there’s been no shortage of material in recent times!
“It’s been a good year for scandals,” Titus told Bill and Brig on Sunday morning.
Titus said the ball-tampering saga in particular revealed just how much we care about sport in Australia.
“A 24-year-old bloke rubbed some sandpaper on a ball and it was the number one news story for two weeks,” he said.
Titus said it couldn’t have been timed any better than his book being released on the same day as Cricket Australia’s culture review.
A Sporting Chance: Australian Sporting Scandals and the Path to Redemption is out now.
