AFL trade rumours: Tom Morris has the latest on Dahlhaus, McGovern and co.

Fox Footy’s Tom Morris has provided an update on the futures of several big name AFL stars who are set to be on the move for the 2019 season.

The likes of Dahlhaus, Neale, McGovern, Lycett and Gaff are just a few of the names rumoured to be changing clubs.

Here’s the latest:

LUKE DAHLHAUS: “My mail is he’s going to Geelong on a four-year deal worth about $500,000 a year,” Morris said. Daulhaus is an unrestricted free agent and Morris says the Western Bulldogs will not match the offer.

LACHIE NEALE: “If they (Fremantle) lose him this year, they might get Brisbane’s pick four,” Morris said.

“I think the Neale camp is more than open to going to Brisbane, I think they’re very keen to get to the Lions and what they are building up there.

“I think the Dockers – as much as they want to keep Neale… they probably don’t mind getting a draft pick in return if that trade does get done.”

MITCH MCGOVERN: “Carlton’s in the box seat but a lot depends on if any priority pick comes through their door… don’t discount Hawthorn either,” Morris said.

ANDREW GAFF: “Gaff’s a real 50/50 one at the moment, all the noise out of the west is he’s back at training and they’re confident he’s going to stay, but there’s some good money on the table from North Melbourne – $1.1, 1.2 million a year,” Morris said.

SCOTT LYCETT: “I believe he will be at Port Adelaide next year, his management told St Kilda he won’t be going there in 2019,” Morris said.

But the question remains, will these deals get done? It could be an intriguing AFL trade period for your club.
