ANDY HARPER

Fox Football commentator Andy Harper has noted how nervy the opening stages of Sunday night’s A-League elimination final between Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United was.

After both sides failed to trouble the scorers in the first half, Victory eventually prevailed 2-1 through more heroics from marquee striker Besart Berisha, who scored in his eight consecutive final.

MATTY WAHLBERG

Matty “The 21st Century Success Story” Wahlberg joined Sam Stove, Mieke Buchan, and Shane McInnes to talk their show with Progress Wrestling at The Star City Event Centre, and how he became a professional wrestler.

CRAIG GABRIEL

Macquarie Sports Radio Tennis expert Craig Gabriel says he was “surprised” by some of Australia’s selections in their Fed Cup World Group play-off against the Netherlands.

Captain Alicia Molik opted to play veteran Sam Stosur in the opening singles rubber instead of world number 24 Daria Gavrilova, which Stosur lost to world number 210 Lesley Kerkhove in straight sets.

The decision ultimately didn’t cost Australia, who cruised to a 4-1 tie win over the Netherlands in Wollongong to re-join the World Group for the first time since 2015.

SHANE HEAL

Sydney Kings announced on Sunday night that five-club NBA veteran Andrew Bogut would be returning home to play with the club next season with the Sydney Kings, and how this signing is going to change the game of basketball in Australia.
