Anthony Minichiello says Blues need to improve on Game One

Former NSW fullback Anthony Minichiello spoke to Julian King about State of Origin game 2.

The Blues have a history of blowing 1-nil series leads, but this time the Maroons will have to do it without the likes of Thurston, Cronk and Smith.

“We’ve been in this position many times but this is their best chance to wrap it up.”

Complacency isn’t a word in the NSW team’s vocabulary according to Mini, who says the players know they have to build on what they did at the MCG.

“The boys would need to improve on their performance in game one if they want to win the series here.”

Minichiello has warned Queensland about taking Billy Slater and Dylan Napa into the game under injury clouds.

“I think both of them are risks.”
