Are Victorian tracks too firm?
Horse racing caller Bryan Martin joined Mat Thompson and Matt Granland on Macquarie Sports Radio to talk about whether race tracks in Victoria are too firm?
“The owners have to deal the horses the day after the race, they see the horses that are sore because they are hitting ground that is far too firm.
The policy is to have a track that is consistent.. and it gets to a stage where it can be like a concrete road,” Martin said. He also said that the warm weather also plays a role.
