Ben Horne discusses Australian Cricket ODI and T20 selections

Ben Horne discusses Cricket Australia’s new-look selections for the upcoming 5-match ODI series in the UK, followed by the one-off T20 in England and a T20 tri-series in Zimbabwe.

“I think Carey is the person they see as their keeper going forward in one day cricket. I think they envisage him as probably most likely the man for next year’s World Cup, but they’ve had to balance the need to develop his game with the need to stabilise the leadership”

“With Warner and Smith gone he’s [Khawaja] the next experienced man, really in Australia’s batting stocks, so for him to miss out, it’s a big warning as well with test cricket […] Khawaja’s position, I think this shows is not safe in any format.”

“I can only presume that with Chris Lynn, they’re concerned about his body.”
