Chris Fagan talks about the Lions next steps

The Brisbane Lions are slowly but surely beginning to make traction with their rebuilding under coach Chris Fagan.

The young side had a surprising 33-point defeat over Hawthorn over the weekend, but Fagan was quick to point out that the team still have progress to make. Speaking with Mark Allen and Greg Denham on Drive

“We’ve still got a long way to go, we’ve only won 4 games don’t forget,” the Senior Coach said.

“The test is going to come for the rest of this year, and next year, to try and become more consistent and put some pressure on to try and make finals.”

He also noted that the Lions fans are turning out to watch the progress at the Gabba.

“Our crowds have been about four or five thousand above budget lately so that is good for the footy club. It’s the old story if they think the team has got a chance to win they’ll turn up to watch.”
