Considering weight and height “never crossed” Ebert’s mind

It’s never crossed his mind.

That’s the view of Port Adelaide midfielder Brad Ebert as the fallout to the AFL Tribunal’s decision to ban Nic Naitnaui on Wedneday night continues.

The tribunal, led by AFL’s legal counsel Jeff Gleeson, upheld Naitnaui’s initial one-week ban for a tackle of Ebert’s teammate Karl Amon, in which it was argued that the star West Coast Eagles ruckman failed in his duty to consider the size and weight difference compared to his smaller opponent.

“There’s a fine line between what’s considered far and not fair,” Ebert told Afternoons.

“It’s a competitive game and you’re always trying to play on the edge so you’re going to get caught in certain situations.”
