‘Fatigue is a wonderful thing’ | Calls to further cut bench rotations

TONY, JIMMY, AND TONY

Brad Hardie wants rotations cut to 60.

The 1985 Brownlow Medalist told Macquarie Sports Radio it will encourage teams to play “bona fide footballers”.

“Fatigue is a wonderful thing,” Hardie said on Tuesday.

“After half time, things just start to open up a little bit.

“The ball will always beat leg speed, so the good kicks come back into vogue.”

Currently, AFL teams are allowed to make 90 interchanges in a match.
