Gaze unsure on the future of star recruit

Andrew Bogut has wasted little time in imposing himself on the NBL

If he continues his current form he’s on his way to a record breaking season with the Sydney Kings.

The big question is how long the 34 year old plans to keep playing.

Kings coach Andrew Gaze joined the Macquarie Sports Radio breakfast show with Mark Levy and Mark Riddell to discuss the issue of Bogut’s future, “I don’t know, it’s one of those ones where I think Boge’s form would indicate that anyone would love to have him and extend it and secure it (his services) long term.”

Gaze did admit that despite the Sydney Kings’ desire to sign Bogut long term they were yet to broach the topic with him, “I haven’t really spoken to Boge’s about his long term vision of what he actually wants to do. I have no doubt that in a couple of years he’ll have the capacity to keep playing. But it really will come down to his own motivation.”
