Gold Coast Suns ruckman Jarrod Witts says the club still has pride
Gold Coast Suns ruckman Jarrod Witts says the club still has pride despite their terrible start to the season.
Gold Coast have lost their past two games by an average margin of 96 points, smashed by their fellow expansion club Greater Western Sydney Giants last week.
Witts says it hasn’t been “acceptable.”
“Our last two weeks haven’t been acceptable from the footy club.
“We have to stick to the process and control what we can,” Witts told Afternoons.
The Suns travelled for the first ten rounds of the season thanks to the Commonwealth Games.
Witts says it is hard to say whether the team has been affected, because it hasn’t been done before.
“We didn’t mind travelling, I’m not too sure how much of an impact it’s had because no one has done it before.
“The travelling becomes normality.”
