Greg Inglis penalty described as “heavy-handed”
Dean “Bulldog” Ritchie and Benny Elias have both come out in support for Greg Inglis following his suspension from the national team for drink driving.
Yesterday the Australia Captain was slapped with a two-game ban by the NRL, which will see him miss Australia’s two October clashes against New Zealand and Tonga.
He also lost the captaincy after initially refusing to stand down himself.
Despite saying the decision had to be made, Ritchie told James Willis on Halftime the penalty was “heavy handed.”
While former Balmain Tigers Legend Benny Elias gave Inglis credit for facing the music.
“Give him full credit, he stood there and didn’t shy away.
“Let it be done and move on with it.”
