GWS defender Adam Kennedy opens up about his tough rehab

Ahead of their semi-final against Collingwood, GWS defender Adam Kennedy says they are full of confidence heading into the do or die match.

The Giants last week accounted for the Sydney Swans by 49 points, dominating them in all areas.

“We have a really good brand of footy that a lot of teams strive to play,” Kennedy told Halftime with James Willis.

After doing his knee in Round 7 2017, Kennedy didn’t return until Round 17 this year against Richmond.

He admits having some doubt during his rehab.

“My rehab process took a bit longer. I had my own battles with that, and it went probably a month or two longer than expected.

“I did have a think about where this year would take me and I was concerned I wouldn’t come back.”

When it comes to the state of the game, and recommendations put forward by the Competition Committee, Kennedy says he thinks the game is in a really good position.

“I’m a bit of a traditionalists. I think we have a great game at the moment growing every year by the numbers.”
