High-profile trainer bullish about trio of runners ahead of the Everest
Horse Trainer Kris Lees is confident ahead of Saturday’s $13m Everest race at Royal Randwick.
Speaking on Halftime with James Willis, Lees, who trains three of the 12 horses in the race on the weekend said he was confident his trio of runners would perform well.
“It’s a very open race, there’s 12 runners and any of the 12 could win,” he said.
“Now that we’ve got this (wet weather) around, it’ll certainly play its part but I’m thanking all my three horses will handle the soft ground.”
