‘I have never been about money’ – Port star never thought of leaving

Port Adelaide star Ollie Wines has confirmed he was never going to leave Port Adelaide after they put their faith in drafting him at pick 7 in 2012.

Wines was out of contract earlier this year and said he was loyal to the Power.

“This club has done right by me. I am not about the money. Why would I leave? I am so comfortable here. Why change anything.” Wines told Macquarie Sports Radio Melbourne Breakfast.

In a time where Tom Lynch has told his side he is leaving after 8 seasons, Wines was strong on his love for the club.

“I am a country Victoria boy. There would be chances to go back. There is no reason for me to go back though.”
