Aussie cricket coach Justin Langer joins Bill Woods and Brad Hardie on the day of the first ODI between Australia and South Africa in a match hotly anticipated in the cricketing world.
Justin shares how the unveiling of the new “Justin Langer stand” was “pretty embarrassing” before getting into the game that looks to reset Australia Cricket from turbulent times.
Bill and Brad ask about how the team has handled a turbulent 6 months in Australian cricket stating, “what I sleep well at night knowing is some great stuff moving forward from what happened in South Africa.”
Justin Langer shares that traits like honesty, humility, professionalism, and getting better are traits that he had been taught, since he “started back in 1993 with great mentors like Border, Taylor and Steve Waugh.”
He also shares his thoughts on the pitch and if it will favor batters or bowlers and the effect of T20 matches on One Day cricket, “these days cause there’s so much twenty twenty cricket, 50 over cricket feels like test matches to some of our blokes… we got to make sure we can bat for 50 overs.”
