Knights working on their defensive flaws

The Knights have conceded more points than any side in the NRL in season 2018…. a fact not lost on their co-captain Jamie Buhrer.

“Our defence this year has been a factor that’s let us down in the games we’ve lost.”

The Roosters will no doubt test the Knights defence this weekend, as they did in their 30 point win over Newcastle back in round 3.

“They’ve got a great kicking game and some aerial weapons so that’ll be an area to focus for us.”

Buhrer says star fullback Kalyn Ponga is more determined than ever to break into the Queensland side after spending time in camp ahead of Game One.

“I don’t think he could do much more.” “I know he’s itching to get back.”
