Lord Sebastian Coe describes Commonwealth Games atmosphere as “electric”

Lord Sebastian Coe is a name synonymous with British athletics. As a middle distance runner in the 1980s, he was almost unstoppable and claimed consecutive Olympic Gold Medals in the 1500m event at the Moscow and Los Angeles games.

Following his retirement from athletics, Lord Coe entered British parliament and eventually spearheaded the bid for London to host the Summer Olympics in 2012.

In 2015, Lord Coe was elected President of the International Association of Athletics Federations and he joins Mieke, Shane, and Sam for an in-depth discussion about the state of Athletics, sportsmanship at the games, and the possibility of the IAAF world championships coming to the Gold Coast.
