Meet Australia’s first female professional drag racing champion

Kelly Bettes is Australia’s first female professional drag racing champion.

Kelly claimed the Australian Top Fuel Championship at the 51st annual Winternationals at Willowbank in Brisbane by securing enough points when she won her semi-final.

She lost to her rival, Damien Harris in the final round of the Winternationals, but beat him to the title by two points.

Kelly shared her excitement with Macquarie Sports Radio Mornings show with David Morrow and Tiffany Cherry.
