Jets goalkeeper Jack Duncan focused ahead of crunch final
Newcastle Jets goalkeeper Jack Duncan said his side is not focussed on their past results against Melbourne City, as they face off against the club for a spot in the A-League Grand Final.
The Jets return to finals action on Friday night for the first time since the 2008 A-League Grand Final, where they beat rivals Central Coast Mariners 1-0 to win the A-League title.
Ernie Merrick’s men will face Melbourne City at McDonald Jones Stadium on Friday night in front of what shapes up as a record crowd in the Hunter, with the winner earning a place in this year’s decider against Sydney FC or Melbourne Victory.
City has defeated Newcastle twice this season, both times at McDonald Jones Stadium, and were denied a late winner in the other.
