Ox apologises after Shiel requests trade to Essendon
David Schwarz has made an emphatic apology after declaring Dylan Shiel was set to join Carlton on Monday’s show.
The star GWS Giants midfielder requested a trade to Essendon, stunning the footy world and rejecting St.Kilda, Carlton and Hawthorn in the process.
“There’s skullduggery involved,” Ox said on Drive.
“I want to make it clear to everyone in Sydney and Melbourne who have an invested interest in Dylan Shiel, I blame (Lobster Cave owner) Bill Ferg.
“(Essendon midfielder) Devon Smith took Dylan Shiel to the Lobster Cave in Beaumaris and the deal was supposedly done.
“I was wrong and I apologise.”
Mark Allen backed in Schwarz to open Tuesday’s program.
“You can’t take things to the bank willy-nilly,” Marko said.
“I know where the information came from and I’m as staggered as you he’s gone to the Bombers.”
