Pink ball on ice as India refuses day-night Test

MACQUARIE SPORTS RADIO NEWS

India has refused Australia’s offer of a day/night Test.

Australia has hosted four pink-ball Tests since the inaugural day/nighter against New Zealand in 2015, three in Adelaide and one in Brisbane.

But India has refused to play a Test under lights this summer.

Cricket Australia had lobbied the BCCI to play a day/night Test at Adelaide Oval, however the visiting side has declined.

India and Bangladesh are the only two Test-playing nations yet to play under lights.

Australia will play a day/night Test against Sri Lanka at the Gabba in January.
