Stuart MacGill’s pick to replace Pat Howard

Former Australian spinner Stuart MacGill has endorsed Stuart Clark as Pat Howard’s replacement.

MacGill said the former Test bowler, who played 42 matches of red-ball cricket for Australia, was the “most suitable and highly-qualified” person to replace Pat Howard in the role of General Manager of Team Performance at Cricket Australia.

He told Halftime with James Willis it was a pretty easy decision to make.

“Stuart Clark’s the guy, there’s no doubt about that,” he said.

“Around the country, I wouldn’t say there’s too many guys not just with his cricketing experience but his education as well – he’s pretty highly qualified off the cricket field as well.
