Sri Lanka end day two at 3-123 after Australia declared earlier at 5-534.
But the story of the day was Dimuth Karunaratne, who was struck by a nasty Pat Cummins bouncer which say play delayed considerably before he was stretched off the field. An update issued confirmed he was conscious and in hospital following the sickening incident.
Earlier in the day, Kurtis Patterson brought up his first Test century, while Joe Burns was dismissed in the first session for 180.

THE BUILD UP
Welcome to day two from Manuka Oval in Canberra, where Australia will be looking to further consolidate their dominance in this second Test vs Sri Lanka.
Despite getting off to a shaky start at 3-28, Joe Burns and Travis Head put on a 308-run record-breaking fourth-wicket stand to re-assert the home side’s commanding position.
Resuming at 4-384, Joe Burns (172*) has a monster opportunity to post a double century and arguably more importantly, further stake his claim for a coveted spot in Australia’s Ashes side later this year.
