The Aussies trying to qualify Greece for the Rugby League World Cup

Terry Constantinou can lay claim to being a Rugby League International, but not your conventional one.

He’s one of five Greek Australians representing the Greece rugby league team that’s trying to qualify for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.

Terry has told Julian King, he only started playing the sport at the age of 15.

“I thought I’d give this Rugby Leage a crack and I turned out pretty handy at it.”

The Greece side will take on Ukraine and Malta in Europe next month to try and get a step closer to making the World Cup.

“The game’s still developing over there. It’s still a little bit disjointed but it’s come on leaps and bounds in shape and structure in the last few years.”
