Tim Cahill reveals just how hard he’s been working to stay Socceroos ready
Tim Cahill is ready for the World Cup.
Cahill has been named in the Socceroos’ 26-man provisional squad, surviving the first trim from the original squad of 32.
It has raised some eyebrows, considering our greatest scorer hasn’t had a lot of match time of late.
Cahill has made just 10 appearances for Millwall since moving over in January.
But he told Macquarie Sports Radio Breakfast there a lot more to the story than just match day.
“I invest a hell of a lot of money and time into my body and being surrounded by the best,” Cahill told John and Beau.
“Everything’s maintenance and professionalism.
“I’ll be leaving no stone unturned (to make the final 23).”
While he hasn’t been appearing on the pitch, Cahill said he’s been playing matches behind closed doors and sending his fitness data to the Socceroos coaches.
“This has been four years, it’s not just three months.”
The final 23 will be named in early June.
