Tim Tszyu making a name for himself in the ring

Tim Tszyu is well known for being the son of boxing great Kostya Tszyu, but his record of 9-0 suggests he’s forging a name for himself.

Speaking to Julian King ahead of his next fight in Sydney on Friday week, Tszyu admitted both his mother and father tried to talk him out of taking up the sport.

“Boxing is the toughest and lonliest sport in the world and I don’t blame them for trying to not make me do it but I made the choice and it’s what I want to do.”

Tim called out Anthony Mundine earlier in the year, and will continue to chase a bout with “The Man”.

“I get a bit excited when I think about big names like that – big crowds, big events – that’s exactly what I’m going for.”
