Trent Robinson speaks on Keary’s Kangaroos omission

After his man of the match performance in the NRL Grand Final, Clive Churchill Medalist Luke Keary was on the cusp of being selected for the Kangaroos squad for the end of year Test Matches

Unfortunately for the two time premiership winner he was overlooked for Cameron Munster, Daley Cherry-Evans, Ben Hunt and Tyrone Peachy.

Speaking with Mark Levy and Mark Riddell on the Maquarie Sports Radio breakfast show this morning, Roosters coach Trent Robinson spoke about Keary’s omission, “If he’d got in there I think he would have done them proud and he could have played multiple positions. Would’ve loved to have seen him there … but at the same time, he wants to fight for that Blues jersey. He was so close this year but it keeps the hunger firing for next year.”

If you think Keary was unlucky to have missed out on the Australian squad you can email us at breakfast@sportsradio.com.au
