Uninspiring United held by Southampton

Macquarie Sports Radio

Manchester United’s poor run has continued, escaping with a point at Southampton.

The Red Devils were forced into action when the Saints sprinted to a 2-0 lead after just 20 minutes.

The 2-2 draw was United’s third straight Premier League match without a win.

United is now six points adrift of the Top 4 — and have played an extra match — while Southampton remains in the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, Aussies collided when Aaron Mooy’s Huddersfield hosted Mat Ryan’s Brighton overnight.

It was the latter who emerged victorious as Brighton came from behind to win 2-1.

In other overnight results:

  • Manchester City beat Bournemouth 3-1
  • Leicester beat Watford 2-0
  • Crystal Palace beat Burnley 2-0
  • West Ham beat Newcastle 3-0

It’s Derby Central in the EPL tonight!

  • Chelsea v Fulham
  • Arsenal v Tottenham
  • Liverpool v Everton
