We think we’ve found the hardest name in world sport to pronounce – and we gave it a go!

It’s a name set to cause havoc with even the most experienced tennis commentators.

Kaheaokaleonahenahemaikalani Companion – yes, you read that right – is a 17-year-old Hawaiian tennis player making her way on the ITF circuit.

She is thought to be the first professional tennis player from the US island state and made her tournament debut in Osprey, Florida over the weekend.

With assistance from our newsman James Willis, Afternoons co-hosts Shane McInnes and Mieke Buchan tried their hand  pronouncing her first name – with mixed results!
