Will Simona De Silvestro be driving for Supercar champions Triple 8 next year?
Simona De Silvestro has refused to be drawn on speculation she’ll be racing for the factory Triple Eight Supercars team in 2019 other than to say she will be racing Supercars next year.
The only female on the grid has been linked to a move to the leading Holden team following the announcement Craig Lowndes will retire from full time driving.
When asked by Macquarie Sports Radio what her future holds for next season amid speculation about Triple Eight, De Silvestro said “What I know is I will be racing Supercars…”
De Silvestro is under contract to Kelly Brothers Nissan for next season however it’s been reported she has an out clause if Kelly Brothers don’t remain a factory team. Nissan has already confirmed they won’t be officially suporting the team next year.
